History
  • It was established in 1976 as a component of b.sc (hons) and m.sc biological sciences .

  • After discontinuation  of b.sc honors for a short period it was again introduced as b.sc microbiology as self financed course .

  • It is flourishing under the umbrage of the department of botany .

Teaching Methodology
  • Modern methodologies like OHPs and PowerPoint presentations are used.
