| The Department was established in the year 1960. Appa Kalamkar Saheb worked as a Physical Director from 1963 to 1991.Mr.Jagan Mohan joined in 2001 as Sr. Lecturer in Physical Education. He is well experienced and an able administrator and trainer. His rich experience and efficiency enable him to associate himself with a member of policy decision making bodies at University level. He is a specialist in Kabaddi & Kho-Kho. At present he is Pursuing PhD in Osmania University. |

| Play Ground Facilities |
Our College is situated in the heart of the City. Despite lack of a play ground we have tieup or collaboration with YMCA (Narayanaguda), Victory Play ground and Doctor BR Ambedkar College. Our students are participating and excelling in following Events.

- Kho-Kho
- Volley Ball
- Cricket
In addition to the above out door Games a sports room to play indoor Games like Caroms, Chess and Table Tennis is available in College premises. |

| Process of Purchasing the Sports Equipment |
| The Lecturer in Physical Education prepares a list of items required for the academic year to conduct various games and sports and submit it to the Principal for consideration. The Principal convenes sports Committee meeting and after careful discussion gives approval for the requisition based on availability of funds. After approval Lecturer in Physical Education places the order for the sports items required. |

| Methods of Continuous Students Assessment and Remedial Measures |
| The Students are keenly observed by the Lecturer in Physical Education while they are playing. Each student's weak points are noted. Suitable students are identified based on their interest, aptitude and Physical fitness. |

| College is giving incentives for meritorious students who represent Andhra Pradesh State and Osmania University to participate in Inter University competition and National Championships. College is facilitating the meritorious students by giving sports kit (Track suit & Shoes) and Rs500/- (Five Hundred) as cash Prize. |

| Plan of Action |
- Hyderabad is fast developing as a sports capital of India. Government of Andhra Pradesh is also giving lot of encouragement to the sports Men& Women .Due to the hosting of 32 National Games 1St Afro-Asian Games at Gachibowli, LB Stadium complex, Saroor Nagar Stadium and GHMC also providing sports facilities for up coming sports Men.
- As health Consciousness is increasing in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and believing that a Healthy body carrier a Healthy Mind. We have prepared a comprehensive plan to identify potential sports men and enroll than in the college.
- To give incentives in cash and concession.
- To encourage more students to participate in the sports events.
- To up grade the indoor games facilities.
- To provide gymnasiums for developing the Physical fitness of the students.

| Our college has a history of owning a naval unit of NCC since 1968 under three Naval Officers i.e. Sri N.Vasudeva rao, Sri P.V.S. Murthy, Late Sri. Veeraiah, who were instrumental in training the students and motivating them to participate in various activities and competitions. At present we have a group of students who have enrolled in this naval wing of NCC. Some of the students have participated at national levels and brought Laurels to the college. This month Mr.Bhaskar Rao of 2 Year B.Sc is selected for the Pre Republic Day Parade. |
